Last Updated August 11, 2022
This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) discloses the privacy practices for Vocal Media, Inc. (“Vocal Media”). This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by Vocal Media’s website located at https://vocal-media.io/ (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how we collect, use, and safeguard the personal information that you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our Site.
Information Collection, Use, and Sharing. Vocal Media may collect personally identifiable information (PII) through the Site. Vocal Media only has access to the PII that you voluntarily provide through the Site. Vocal Media will use your PII to respond to you regarding the reason you contacted us, for instance, providing our campaign services to you or provide our newsletter if you subscribe through the Site and for communicating with you. Vocal Media may share your PII with third parties as necessary to fulfill your requests for services.
In addition, Vocal Media tracks Non-Personal Information (NPI) using cookies, or small text files which include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to a user’s browser from our servers and are stored on the user’s computer hard drive. Cookies do not collect PII. Cookies help us improve and customize your experience on our Site.
Your Access to and Control Over Your Information. We use your PII to provide our services to you. You may opt out of any future communications from us at any time by sending us an email at hi@vocalmedia.io. In addition, (i) you may request a copy of the information that we have collected about you; (ii) you may request that we change or update your information; and (iii) you may request that we delete any part of your information.
PII Restrictions. Vocal Media’s services are restricted to persons who are 18 years of age or older. If we, however, inadvertently collect any PII from someone under the age of 18 (a “Child”), then the Child’s parent or legal guardian has the right to inspect their Child’s PII that Vocal Media collected to assure it is accurate or to amend it. If you are a parent or legal guardian of a Child and you become aware that your Child has provided Vocal Media with PII without your consent, you should contact us via email at hi@vocalmedia.io. Parents always have the right to inspect any information that Vocal Media may have inadvertently collected from their Child, and have the right to have Vocal Media edit or delete it.
Security. The Internet is not an established secure environment for communications. As such, we continually review and apply commercially reasonable practices to protect and secure the Internet channels used within our systems. Accordingly, Vocal Media takes commercially reasonable precautions to protect your PII. When you submit PII via the Site, your information is protected both online and offline. Wherever Vocal Media collects PII, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the Web page. While Vocal Media uses encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your PII offline. Only employees who need your PII to perform a specific job are granted access to your PII. The computers/servers in which we store your PII are kept in a secure environment. However, these measures do not guarantee that your information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by unauthorized persons who breach our security procedures. By providing your PII to us, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to assume these inherent risks.
California Privacy Rights. California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine The Light” law, permits users of our Site who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about the Personal Information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year. As noted above, we do not sell, trade, rent or otherwise share your Personal Information for marketing purposes with third parties. In addition, California consumers have a right to know, access, and delete any of their Personal Information that we collect under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
